Fazl rejects Trump’s Nobel nomination

Battagram:

Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) MAULANA Fazlur Rehman has lashed out against the United States and the nomination of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of US President Donald Trump by the Nobel Peace Prize, stating that peace and Trump cannot coexist.

Speaking at a conference in Battagram on Sunday, Emir Jui-F sounded alarms for renewed Washington’s efforts to bring together Muslim countries behind him. “The United States is saying once again we should walk together … This same America that has abandoned us many times before,” he said.

“Now he wants to join on the basis of the lineage of the prophet Ibrahim, but how can we forget the atrocities in Palestine and the blood that spilled in Libya, Egypt, Syria and Jordan? How can we forget the injustices faced by Muslims?”

The Jui-F Emir said the game was with Iran against Israel and was ready to defend the haramain. “We are determined to unite the Muslim Umma.”

“When our country needs it, we will declare jihad and offer our lives for the defense of this nation,” he added.

The conference in Battagram attracted a significant crowd, with senior leaders of Jui-F and carriers of the provincial office present, including Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Nasser Mahmood, Maulana Amjad Khan, Mufti Nisar Ahmed, Maulana Khurshid Ahmed, Maulana Ghulamullah, Bakht Nawaz Khan and Shah Hussain Khan.

During their speeches, Jui-F leaders also criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, accusing it of unprecedented corruption and poor financial management.

“The current provincial government has broken all corruption records,” said Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri. “In just one year, RS1.1 billion was spent only on food and hospitality. Imagine how much diverted for personal and unofficial use.”

The leaders also expressed their frustration for the worsening of the situation in Battagram. “The people here are suffering badly. The chosen representatives are busy filling their pockets while citizens are caught in hunger, inflation, unemployment and anarchy,” said a speaker.

Asking the voters to support the Jui-F at the polls, they said that if the public trusted the Power Party through the strength of their vote, they would change the face of this country. “We will use national resources for the well -being of people and place Pakistan between the ranks of the great nations.”

Adjusted security arrangements were made for the conference, with a strong police presence and hundreds of service Jui-F volunteers.
