Fazl to continue ‘fighting oppression’

The chief of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, said on Saturday that his fight against “oppression and tyranny” would continue, saying that the rebellion against slavery was the decinating characteristic of his party.

In a speech at the Isttehkam-E-Pakistan conference in the possession of Jui-F in Taunsa Sharif, the cleric-political declared a revolt against oppression, slavery and exploitation.

The conference, which was attended by a great crowd, was decorated with party flags and welcome banners.

When heading to the meeting, he claimed that the ruling elite was exploiting people’s poverty for their own benefit.

In addition, he said that freedom “cannot be supplicated by other countries, since our struggles are very similar.”

“Those who are in power are taking advantage of our poverty, confusing it with weakness,” he added, pointing out the unfair practices of the ruling class and the owners.

Regarding the 26th amendment, he said he contained 56 points. He highlighted the crucial inclusion of clauses aimed at eliminating the interest (usury) of the Pakistan financial system.

“As of January 1, 2028, interest will be completely eradicated by Pakistan. If any damage reaches this amendment, support for the usury system will be considered,” he said.

He also regretted the continuous persecution faced by Muslims worldwide, saying that they were being unjustly labeled as terrorists, and added that the real perpetrators of violence were those who spread chaos throughout the world.

The Mauna condemned the violence ongoing against Muslims in various parts of the world, especially in regions such as Gaza, Afghanistan, Syria and Lebanon, which described as “ardor in the fire of war”, largely due to international conspiracies.

“Who is setting fire to the Muslim world? America and Europe are the murderers of humanity.”

In addition, he expressed his belief in the divine nature of the Torah and the Bible, affirming that they are books of God together with the Qur’an.

He also pointed out that although some still advise the submission to the West and America, “we will not lean before the ascending sun.”

He strongly criticized Israel’s brutal actions in Palestine, saying: “The Palestinians have not leaned their heads but have sacrificed their lives.”

Fazl also condemned the participation of US and European powers in the suffering of Muslims, emphasizing that they have no right to global leadership.

He urged Muslim rulers to assume responsibility for their role in the in the current oppression of the Palestinians, declaring that they were equally complicit in injustice.
