Microsoft is yielding with its constant incitement to people to use the Edge browser in Windows 11, but not everyone gets this welcome relief.
Unfortunately, Edge’s thrust somehow is only being reduced in the European economic area (EEE) due to the rules imposed by the Digital Markets Law. Without such regulatory pressure in the US, or elsewhere, these edge restrictions are not happening.

Another change is that when Edge is uninstalled, he will not get other Microsoft applications that indicate that he reinstates it.
In addition, when you set any web browser as your default choice, you will have many more file formats (and types of links) linked to it, instead of having some types of files still open. Microsoft clarifies that if you eliminate the Microsoft store, but you have already used it to install some applications, that software will continue to receive updates to ensure that you get the last security patches, which is good news.

These are welcome movements for Windows 11 and 10 users in this region, but it would be good if Microsoft could implement them in another place as well.
