The Commercial Banking Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested two people and recovered thousands of fake US dollars in Karachi, as part of a crackdown on counterfeit currency.

According to Express News, the FIA ​​raid team carried out an operation in Saddar area where they arrested two suspects involved in illegal trade in counterfeit dollars.

During the raid, the team seized 4,500 counterfeit US dollars.

Authorities revealed that one of the suspects, Qadir Raza, was waiting to supply counterfeit dollars to a party. Following his identification, another suspect, Naeem Ahmed, was arrested at a location near Water Pump.

The arrested suspects have been booked and further investigation is underway. Efforts are also being made to stop the main supplier of counterfeit currency.
