KARACHI: The Cyber Crime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered a case against 15 persons in the National Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 paper leak case and made it viral on social networks.
After the leak of the entrance test paper of the 2024 medical college admission exam, the board members of the human rights and advocacy organization submitted a request to the cybercrime wing of the FIA.
Inspector Arfa Saeed, Investigation Officer, registered a case under sections 3, 4, 13, 14 and 20 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016, among other provisions.
According to Ashraf Jan, SHO Cyber Crime Branch, 15 persons including Controller and Deputy Controller of Examinations have been named in the case while 3 accused Tariq Aziz Soomro, Bilal Shirazi and an unknown person have also been arrested. .
