Karachi: The International Federation of the Soccer Association (FIFA) has raised the suspension of the Pakistan Football Federation after the PFF Congress approved constitutional amendments ordered by the Soccer Government body and the Asian Soccer Confederation (AFC), the authorities confirmed on Sunday.

“The FIFA Council Office decided on March 2, 2025 to raise the suspension that was imposed on the PFF on February 6, 2025,” said the soccer government body in a statement.

He added that the decision was made after the PFF Congress unanimously approved the version of the PFF Constitution validated by FIFA and AFC, thus fulfilling the requirement established by the office in its decision of February 6.

Shahid Khokhar, a member of the PFF Standardization Committee, confirmed to Geographical news That suspension of Pakistan has risen, which makes the country eligible to resume international football activities.

“The suspension has risen after the successful result of the extraordinary PFF Congress on February 27,” Khokhar said. “We thank FIFA and AFC for their continuous support for Pakistan’s football and expand our sincere congratulations to the Pakistan football community.”

With the suspension raised, all members of membership of the PFF, as defined in the FIFA statutes, have been restored. This allows PFF representatives and club teams to participate in international competitions once again.

FIFA had suspended last month after the members of the PFF Congress initially refused to accept constitutional amendments, which were considered necessary to guarantee a transparent electoral process. However, during a follow -up meeting on February 27, Congress approved the amendments.

The survey of the suspension paves the path for the participation of Pakistan in the qualifiers of the Asian Cup of the AFC. The PFF had previously announced that it could not participate due to the suspension. Now, with the raised ban, the PFF must make quick arrangements for its next game against Syria, scheduled for this month.
