- Epic Games has announced an association with Qualcomm
- You will see that the easy anti-treatment will be available for the windows on the arm.
- As well as Fortnite, it means the potential that hundreds of games are playable
Epic Games has announced a new association with Qualcomm to support Easy Anti-Cheat for its Snapdragon processors based on ARM. This means that Fortnite will finally be available on the laptops of co -driver+ PC using the tastes of the Snapdragon X family for the first time (which are some of the best laptops we have tried recently).
In a press release, Epic Games explained that he is working with Qualcomm Technologies to take Epic Online Service to Windows in the arm, which is used by laptops such as the excellent laptop of surface. This decision was due to how Windows 11 in ARM has “transformed the PC panorama” with the company’s processors that represent a “rapid growth segment of the PC games market.”
There are some different architectural differences between X64 (64 bits) and ARM, and the latter is much less compatible with most software, especially games. Windows On ARM has made a long way in the last year, but there is still much to improve. “Due to the way in which anti-treatment software works with the features X64, additional tools for compatibility with these devices are required.”
Crucially, the easy anti-translation test and implementation could open the door for many other games that use the online game software, with compatibility that extends through the epic game store (and beyond). “In addition to launching Windows in Snapdragon Anti-Cheat Support to Fortnite, we will bring this support to developers through a SDK SDK launch of online services.”
Fortnite cannot install without easy enabled against the deal, since the game will not be released until EAC is in the installation directory. Easy Anti -che is also available in almost 500 games, including Apex, Rust, Iracing and Fall Guys, as well as more recent launches such as Elden Ring. A time frame has not been offered when the online SDK SDK will be implemented, however, you may not be waiting much to finally experience the popular Battle Royale game in hardware with Ultrabook AI with a hardware with energy.
A step forward for accessible games on the arm
It has been an exciting moment for laptops with the generalized implementation of Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors within some of the best laptops during the last year or so.
We have praised many of the productivity machines promoted by people such as the Snapdragon X Elite SOC, including the excellent Dell XPS 13 9350 (2025) and the Asus Vivobook S 15 Copilot+ just to name a few. While compatibility is not yet on par with the traditional Windows X86 experience, performance elphilization (and the life of the leading batteries) has made them a viable option for work.
Now, with the news that Epic Games is working on bringing an easy anti-treatment software to bring (possibly) the largest game on the planet to assemble, we could see this as a great advance for games in ultrabooks.
Last year, we were impressed by Snapdragon X Elite game capabilities, which included the execution of Baldur’s Gate 3 in 4K. Although the Qualcomm Adrena GPU baked in the chip will not rivate the discrete graphics found in some of the best laptops of games, there is certainly potential for a playable future in the hardware, and is especially demanding as modern MacBooks with chips of the M series also uses arms -based architecture.
Some of the most popular PC games use easy anti-translation as standard, so epic games could be giving an enormous step for accessibility, especially if titles can be optimized for Qualcomm hardware.
As we have seen with the rise of the steam cover, Asus Rog Ally X and other PC for hand games, developers have begun to attend the graphic solutions integrated through the tastes of the AMD Z1 and Z2 chips. While these are X86 devices, we could see future hand computers using ARM with a broader availability of games if more software can be adopted over time.
