Islamabad:
Rescue teams have not yet located the bodies of a father and a daughter who were dragged by floods in a private housing society in Islamabad.
The search operation continued for a second day, with the divers of the Pakistan army and the teams of the Provincial Authority of Disaster Management (PDMA) that bind to the efforts.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when a vehicle that transported the victims was dragged by a sudden flood within the private housing society. On the second day of the rescue operation, personnel from the Army of Pakistan, PDMA, Rescue 1122, CDA and other departments participated.
The search equipment covered a stretch of 12 kilometers from the Soan River using ships and other equipment to locate the missing vehicle. The strong currents in the river and their connection drains hindered rescue efforts.
Army divers equipped with metal detectors searches from boats, while heavy machinery and reflectors were also used along the riverbank.
