Finmin attends Alula Economic to discuss


ALLA, Saudi Arabia:

The Alula Inaugural Conference for emerging market economies began here on Sunday, gathering finance ministers, governors of the Central Bank, political leaders and economic experts around the world.

Pakistan’s Federal Finance and Revenue Minister Muhammad Aurengzeb, attends the two-day high-level event at the special invitation of his Saudi counterpart, Mohammed al-Jadaan, a press release said.

The conference, jointly organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Ministry of Finance of Saudi, aims to promote discussions on the creation of resilience and sustainable economic growth in the midst of world economic uncertainties.

A total of nine sessions will be held, with 200 participants and 36 speakers, with representatives of 48 countries that attended.

During the conference, Senator Aurengzeb will participate in a discussion in a high -level panel on “navigate the way for resistant emerging markets” moderated by the IMF managing director, Kristalina Georgieva, along with finance ministers of Egypt, Brazil and Türkiye.

The Alula Conference will become an annual platform for emerging markets and developing economies to shape global economic discourse, improve policy coordination and strengthen international cooperation for sustainable economic stability.
