First claim for defamation of digital trusted files against Justin Sun

Justin Sun’s accusations that the custodian based in Hong Kong First Digital Trust is insolvent has led him to the cross of a complaint claim initiated by the company.

The FDUSD Stablecoin of First Digital was briefly worn on April 3 after SUN said that the company was “insolvent”, although since then it has recovered virtually, according to data from Coindesk Markets.

The document of the citation, the first step in a claim of defamation, was filed at the end of last week and requests the Hong Kong Superior Court to issue a court order that restricted Sun to make more statements on the matter. He also requests a court order that requires SUN to publish retractions.

It also requests that the court issue a damage award (although it does not specify how much) for “illegal interference with the contractual and commercial relations of the plaintiff” and “causing damage to the plaintiff’s business.”

In time since Sun made his first claim on X that First Digital was insolvent, the founder of Tron has doubled the issue, celebrating a press conference at the end of last week in Hong Kong alleging fraud and asking the regulators of the territory that reinforces the rules around the trusts.

For its part, First Digital has published examples of refunds.

A date for an initial judicial hearing has not been established. Sun has not yet presented an answer, but published in X that “welcomes any legal process.”

A SUN spokesman did not comment on the matter.

The case number is HCA 680 in the Hong Kong Superior Court.
