A fishing boat that transported four men overturned in the open sea near Port Qasim, leaving a dead fisherman while three others were rescued, authorities said.
According to Coastal Media Center spokesman, Kamal Shah, from Ibrahim Hyderi, the boat belonging to local fishermen found an accident and sank unexpectedly.
The rescue teams managed to save three of the men, but one, identified as Captain Somar, 70, son of Usman and popularly known as OSU, drowned. Later, his body was transferred to the Jinnah hospital for post Mortem exam.
The rescued included the son of the deceased captain, Abid, together with Ali Asghar, son of Aziz and Kabir.

The president of the Cooperative Society of Fishermen, Fatima Majeed, expressed pain for the incident and said that the appropriate rescue efforts had prevented a greater loss of lives. She extended condolences to the afflicted family.
At the end of July, the body of a young fisherman, Zeeshan, was recovered and delivered to his family when he left the city’s coastal fishing center, Ibrahim Hyderi, in a state of shock.
The discovery came only one day after his father’s funeral, Ayub, who had drowned along with other fishermen when his boat overturned near Gwadar with strong winds.
The consecutive losses left the fishing community very close in deep shock and mourning.
