Fishshkian, Zardari promises to expand ties


Islamabad:

Pakistan and Iran have reaffirmed their commitment to further expand bilateral cooperation in various fields, emphasizing the importance of improving their relationship in areas of great scope and mutually beneficial.

During a meeting between Iranian President, Dr. Masoud Peeshkian and President Asif Ali Zardari in Aiwan-E-Sadr, the two leaders exchanged points of view on the main regional and international developments and emphasized the need for coordinated diplomatic efforts to avoid conflict escalation and promote peace, security and stability in the region.

The welcome president, fishshkian, President Zardari said that Pakistan and Iran enjoy fraternal relationships that were based on shared religion, culture and mutual respect. He appreciated the positions of Iran’s principles in regional matters and recognized Tehran’s constant support to regional cooperation.

Zardari expressed his gratitude for Iran’s solidarity during critical moments and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to work closely with Iran for a peaceful and prosperous future. The president also thanked the Iranian supreme leader Syed Ali Khamenei for their constant support for illegally occupied Indians Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk).

President Zardari strongly condemned the Israeli aggression not caused against Iran and praised the courage and the unity of the Iranian nation during the recent 12 -day war. He expressed the hope that the visit of President Pezeshkian solidifies further fraternal relations between the two countries.

President Pezeshkian thanked the leadership and Pakistan people for his support during the 12 -day war and appreciated the constructive role of Pakistan in the defense of the description, dialogue and diplomacy for the peaceful resolution of disputes.
