At least five terrorists were killed during a security operation in the Zargari area of Hagu on Saturday, local officials said. The joint operation was carried out by the Police and other agencies for the application of the law after receiving intelligence on terrorists present in the area, said Express News.
There was a fierce shoe exchange, during which the police officer of the District of Hagu (DPO) Mohammad Khalid Khan and Doaba Sho Nabi Khan were injured, along with an officer of the security forces.
It was reported that DPO was in stable conditions. Initially he was transferred to Kohat and is expected to be transferred by plane to Peshawar. The Regional Police officer (RPO) Kohat Abbas Majid Marwat accompanied him. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Zulfiqar Hameed, contacted the wounded officers to investigate after their health.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi had a telephone conversation with DPO, who was injured during an operation against power sponsored by the Indian “Fitna al-Hindustan”. He asked about his condition and praised his courage and leadership.
“Under his command, the police team showed immense courage and eliminated five terrorists from Fitna al-Hindustan,” he said. He praised the entire Hagu police team for his successful operation and described his action as a significant blow to terrorism.
Naqvi also offered prayers for the rapid recovery of DPO and Sho, who was also injured in the operation. “You are the pride of the nation. We are proud of you,” he added.
