Flood the peak, the heads of the Arabic sea

Hyderabad:

The high flood in the Guddu bombing continued to witness a gradual fall on Tuesday with an additional reduction of around 20,000 observed in 24 hours since Monday night. On the other hand, the flood rose around 11,000 Cusecs in Sukkur Barge and 16,000 Cusecs in Kotri Barge during the same time.

According to the Flood Forecast Division based in LaHore, the quantum of the torrent decreased from 624,456 CUSECs on Monday night to 605,456 Cusec in 24 hours after reaching a peak of 635,759 Cusecs in the upstream at 6 am on Monday. The flood was downloading 575,706 downstream.

With a moderate increase, Sukkur Barge 571,800 Cusecs, compared to 560,890 CUSECs a day ago. Similarly, the reading of 284,325 CUSECs improved at 300,853 CUSECs in Kotri Barge. The old bombing is releasing 518,120 CUSECs and the last 289,098 Cusecs downstream.

The Sindh government claimed to have prepared to confront a super flood of 900,000 CUSECs or more, citing warnings of up to 1.1 million floods of CUSECs received from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). However, Guddu has registered a higher point of 635,759 Cusecs this year. It seems unlikely that this level shows an increase because the water level in the Punjab rivers has been constantly falling.

On Tuesday night, Panjnad Barge was downloading 211,384 Cusecs and Taunsa Barge 141,908 Cusecs towards Sindh. This torrent will arrive in Guddu before passing through Sukkur and Kotri on the road to the Arabic sea.

Bridges in the Indo

The National Highway Authority (NHA) has inspected all four bridges in the Indo River in Sindh, declaring on Tuesday that structures are robust enough to easily maintain flood pressure. The national road authority in the southern part of the member, Ramesh Raja, told the Express PAkGazette that he directed the inspection of all bridges from the Guddu Barge to Kotri command area.

According to him, all these bridges have the ability to resist up to 1.4 million CUSECs of the flood. He informed that not only traffic moves without problems on the bridge, but a large number of people have been crowding those sites to see the flood. Raja said that the NHA has established monitoring camps in each of the bridges and that its officials have been working in close coordination with the Irrigation Department of Sindh.

The bridges include 1.58 kilometers long Sukkur bridge; 1.22 km Khairpur-Larkana Bridge; 1.32 km bridge qazi ahmed-amri; and 1.58 km from the Hyderabad bridge. He said that one more bridge in the Indo in Jamshoro and another between Ghotki and Kandhkot are under construction. The first will be linked to the M-6 Sukkur-Hyderabad highway.
