A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Dhaka was forced to make an emergency landing at Karachi’s International Airport in Friday morning due to a medical emergency.
The flight, GZ 501, landed safely at 3:20 am local time and was parked at Bay 21, according to the spokesman of the Pakistan airport authority, Saifullah.
The affected passenger, a citizen of Bangladesh, was immediately attended by the airport medical officer and then transferred to the Aga Khan hospital through the ambulance.
About two hours later, at approximately 5:15 am, the plane found a technical malfunction. The 159 passengers were safely evacuated from the plane and taken to the traffic room.
A replacement cabin and a Dubai technical team were sent to address the problem.
After the repairs were completed and the necessary authorizations were obtained, the flight resumed its trip to Dhaka at 1:21 pm local time.
