Pakistan Foreign Minister and VicePrimer Minister, Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Malaysia, Data Seri Attama Haji Mohammad Bin Haji Hassan, focusing on key regional issues.
According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DAR and its Malaysian counterpart discussed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as well as the widest situation of the Middle East, said Express News.
The conversation stressed the urgency of addressing human suffering and instability in the region, particularly in Gaza, where civilians have faced severe challenges.
During the call, Ishaq Dar reiterated the unwavering commitment of Pakistan with the Palestinian cause and emphasized the continuous support of Pakistan for a fair and lasting solution to the Palestinian problem.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s position to advocate the rights of the Palestinian people internationally.
The two leaders also discussed the next extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) of the Council of Foreign Ministers, with Pakistan expressing their strong support for the initiative.
GIVed highlighted the importance of collective action to address the crisis of the Middle East and the role of the ICOs in providing a platform for dialogue and cooperation in Palestinian rights.
Previously, Pakistan strongly denounced the suggestion of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to establish a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia, with the Deputy Deputy Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, participating in a diplomatic disclosure with its Iranian, Turkish and Egyptian counterparts to discuss the evolution of the Middle East situation.
In a strongly written statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs categorically rejected Netanyahu’s proposal, qualifying it as “irresponsible, provocative and thoughtless”, condemning in unequivocal terms the declaration made by the Israeli prime minister.
FM Dar declared that the Israeli comment was irresponsible, provocative and thoughtless, which was not only deeply offensive, but also undermined and ignored the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to self -determination and an independent state in their own historical and legitimate territory.
He said that Pakistan would sympathize with Saudi Arabia and praised his firm support to the Palestinian people and his fair cause.
Any attempt to undermine the unwavering position of Saudi Arabia and the misrepresentation of its commitment to the Palestinian cause is deeply unfortunate, according to the statement.
Giving said that Pakistan firmly believes that the Palestinian people have an inalienable right to establish an independent and sovereign state based on borders prior to 1967, with Al Quds to Sharif as its capital.
“Any proposal that seeks to move or relocate the Palestinian people of their ancestral homeland is unacceptable and constitutes a shameless violation of international law, the resolutions of the United Nations and the principles of justice and equity,” he added.
Meanwhile, Dar spoke with foreign ministers of Iran, Egypt and Türkiye to discuss the situation in evolution.

The meeting took place at the guest house of the Ataturk airport of the Istanbul airport before the departure of President Erdogan for Malaysia.
Zardari, who was preparing to leave Türkiye, met with the Turkish leader before a scheduled press conference.
