The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan has begun high -level consultations in response to the announcement of India to suspend the Indo Water Treaty and degrade diplomatic ties, the diplomatic sources confirmed on Wednesday, according to media reports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is deliberating by a reciprocal response to what calls the “diplomatic aggression” of India. The final decisions will be announced after the directives of the maximum civil and military leadership of Pakistan, and the National Security Committee is expected to receive detailed information in its next session, local media reported.
According to reports, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is considering the expulsion of Indian defense, air and naval aggregates, together with support staff. Discussions are also being carried out when sending to the personnel of the Indian high commission parked in Islamabad.
The developments occur after a deadly attack against tourists in the Pahalgam region of India, illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk).
In response, the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, presided over a cabinet meeting that resulted in the suspension of the Indo Water Treaty of Decades with Pakistan and the decision to block visas broadcasts under the framework of the Association of Asia of the South of Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
During a press conference, the Ministry of External Affairs of India announced the cancellation of all existing visas for Pakistani citizens and issued an order so that all Pakistani currently in India were within 48 hours.
