Pakistan expresses its deep concern over the resurgence of violence in Yemen and reiterates its support for unity and territorial integrity as well as all efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace and stability in the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Pakistan strongly opposes unilateral measures by any Yemeni party that could further aggravate the situation, undermine peace efforts and threaten the peace and stability of Yemen as well as the region.
In this regard, according to the statement, Pakistan welcomes regional efforts to de-escalate the situation and maintain peace and stability in Yemen. “Pakistan expresses full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reaffirms its commitment to the security of the Kingdom,” he added.
Pakistan maintains its strong support for the resolution of the Yemen issue through dialogue and diplomacy and hopes that the people of Yemen and regional powers will work together to achieve an inclusive and lasting solution to the issue, safeguarding regional stability.
