ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan on Thursday categorically rejected baseless and misleading allegations that members of the Hindu community were denied entry into its territory.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Tahir Hussain Andrabi said in a statement: “These claims are totally baseless and represent yet another attempt to distort facts and politicize a matter that was purely administrative in nature.”

He was responding to media questions about allegations that certain members of the Hindu community were denied entry into Pakistan.

“On November 4, 2025, a total of 1,932 pilgrims successfully crossed into Pakistan through the Attari-Wagah border. It is pertinent to note that approximately 300 visa holders were prevented from crossing by the Indian authorities. The entire immigration process on the Pakistani side was smooth, orderly and hurdle-free,” he added.

He said: “A very small number of persons were found to possess incomplete documentation and were unable to provide satisfactory answers to the immigration authorities. Accordingly, they were asked to return to the Indian side as per standard procedures.”
