Due to dense fog and zero visibility in several areas of the country, several sections of the highway have been temporarily closed to ensure the safety of travelers.

According to a statement by Highway Police Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmad, the following highways have been closed due to fog: M-2 (Lahore to Haran Minar), M-3 (Lahore to Dera Khana), M-4 ( Pindi Bhattian to Multan), M-5 (Multan to Rohri) and Lahore-Sialkot Highway M-11.

The spokesperson further advised the public to follow safety precautions, avoid lane violations as they can lead to accidents, and ensure compliance with lane discipline.

Travelers are advised to prefer to travel during the day, with the best travel times being between 10am and 6pm when it is foggy.

Drivers are advised to use both front and rear fog lights, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front and avoid unnecessary travel.

For further help, citizens can contact the highway police helpline at 130.

On the other hand, the port city experienced an increase in the intensity of the cold this Sunday as the minimum temperature dropped to 9.8°C, marking one of the coldest mornings of the season.
