  • The security forces give the tribe option to vacate Bajaur for its operation.
  • There are no conversations with terrorists until they are submitted to the State: security sources.
  • The terrorists who use negotiations such as smoke short to prepare for war.

Peshawar: The security forces have established multiple options to tribal jirgas in Bajaur for negotiations with the Khawarij, the illegally Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), where an operation will be carried out if the terrorists do not abandon the area, The news reported on Saturday.

The first option, according to security sources, demands that terrorists leave Bajaur, while the second option is related to the evacuation of the tribes for the operation so that the Khawarij can come to an end.

Rejecting any type of conversations at the government level with terrorists and their facilitators in Bajaur, the sources have ruled out negotiations until militants are completely submitted to the State.

In addition, the sources pointed out that deliberate efforts were being made to create ambiguity in discussions about tribes and khawarij in Bajaur, while terrestrial realities were the opposite.

The terrorists, they said, were using negotiations as a smoke curtain to prepare for war and lived among the general population in Bajaur while they were involved simultaneously in terrorist and criminal activities.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, including Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and security officials, has presented three points to the tribes:

  • These Khawarij, most of whom are Afghan citizens, must be expelled from the area.
  • If the tribes cannot expel Khawarij themselves, they must vacate the area for one or two days so that security forces can take them to an end.
  • If both steps are not possible, maximum efforts will be made to avoid damage to common citizens, because the operation against terrorists will continue in any case.

The sources also declared that tribal jirga is a logical step to guarantee public safety before the operation. However, neither religion, nor the State, nor the values of the brave people of KP allow any commitment to the terrorists, the enemies of Islam and the State.

Security sources have made it clear that only the State has the authority to carry out any type of armed action. They said that last year, there were 600 terrorist attacks within Pakistan, who had the financial and operational support of the Afghan Taliban.

The prospects for a Bajaur operation occur when the country has witnessed an increase in terrorist activities since 2021, especially in KP and Baluchistan.

According to a report published by the Institute of Conflicts and Security Studies of Pakistan (PETSS), a group of experts based in Islamabad, there were 78 terrorist attacks throughout the country during June, which resulted in at least 100 deaths.

Among the deaths were 53 security personnel, 39 civilians, six militants and two members of the local peace committees.

A total of 189 people were injured, including 126 members of the security forces and 63 civilians.

In total, violence and operations led to 175 deaths in June, including 55 security personnel, 77 militants, 41 civilians and two members of the Peace Committee.

Security forces have dedicated themselves to ongoing anti -terrorist operations throughout the country and eliminated 33 terrorists supported by India trying to infiltrate the country of Afghanistan in the Zhob in Baluchistan on Friday.

A large cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives also recovered, said public relations between services (ISPR) in a statement.
