Foreign Ministry spokesman Shafqat Khan condemned the new attacks by the Israeli army during the current ceasefire in Gaza.
In a weekly briefing, Khan expressed Pakistan’s strong opposition to the escalation of violence despite the ceasefire agreement.
The FP spokesperson also provided an update on a recent tragic incident in Morocco, where a boat capsized last week. Fortunately, 22 Pakistanis survived the disaster and authorities have shared their names.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson confirmed that the situation is being closely monitored and that the Moroccan authorities have cooperated to address the incident.
Khan reiterated Pakistan’s stance on Gaza and stated that the country welcomes the ceasefire in Gaza.
He expressed Pakistan’s commitment to restoring livability in Gaza, emphasizing that the nation opposes Israeli attacks during the ceasefire period.
Responding to a question about Afghan nationals living in Pakistan, Khan clarified that Pakistan will continue to implement its existing policies regarding Afghan refugees.
He stated that there are currently no plans to alter the policy towards Afghan citizens residing in the country.
