- Innovative e-trike combines an electric microcarger with a bicycle
- A maximum speed of 120 km/h (75 mph) means that it can drive on most roads
- Helicopter -inspired controls offer a unique driving experience
Combining the worlds of bicycles, tricycle, microcarcas and the European classification of Quadrichcle, Cixi Vigoz aims to be a hybrid future transport solution that combines the power of the battery with the human muscle.
Designed by the French engineering firm Cixi, who wants to transform passive trips into something that can keep us fit, the company has used the Futuristic Exturban Runaround to develop its intelligent drive system without chain per (Pedaling Energy Recovery).
Essentially, it consists of a fairly standard set of pedals that act as an accelerator system, detecting the user’s entrance and pointing to the electric motor to deliver energy to the wheels.
In the first load bike applications, the company demonstrated how the mechanical energy produced by the driver became electricity and was transferred directly to the engine.
Pedal faster, and the bicycle accelerates, the pedal stops back and the bicycle slows down, with regenerative braking feeding more energy in battery packages.
Now, the system has been integrated into an orderly and inclined tricycle that sees that the two wheels are in charge of the direction and a single wheel in the rear that the final unit provides. Think about it a bit like a Can-AM Spyder, but with a roof and seat belts.
With a 22KWH battery pack, Vigoz offers almost 100 miles of rank, which can be replaced in just six hours from a domestic plug plug, or increased by greater power of human legs.
In addition, the electric motor offers enough grunt to boost the slightly crazy machine at 75 mph speeds, which means that it can be kept up to date with most traffic.
Remember, while the “controller” is pedaling, but thanks to the unique transmission, the user can select the amount of torque experienced through the connecting rods, which allows a super easy trip if the legs are not up to par.
Vigoz is controlled through two levers, placed on both sides of the highly adjustable seat. These are used to direct, tilting the machine in the corners, like many three -wheeled scooters in the market.
Traditional brake levers at the end of the controls help stop the Vigoz, while a small screen offers speed readings and can be synchronized with a smartphone for navigation tasks.
It has also been designed to be compatible with ISOFIX, so it can house the most modern and large enough children’s seats for a completely adult adult to jump behind the back. In addition, there is a small load area in the rear to transport the kit.

Although the Vigoz remains a design study for now, the French company behind it says it is close to putting a version ready for production on the road.
If it finally arrives, Cixi states that it will be offered as a product only by subscription, instead of offering it for sale in private. This is partly due to the fact that it has been designed to last 15 years before it is properly recycled and eliminated internally to improve its ecological credentials.
It may seem a bit strange, but Cixi says that it is important to “reintroduce” only 30 minutes of moderate physical activity in our day for a better quality of life. And what better way to do this than on the daily trip?
According to their studies, the vehicle adapted to those living in or around the French Alps, near the borders of Switzerland and Italy, where many people travel from small cities to larger cities to work.
Artylized of sports elements and modifiers, such as heaters, air conditioning LED lighting and windshield wiper, Cixi Vigoz could clearly combine the benefits of having a thrust bicycle with the characteristic of a small feature.
Or it is possible that we never see him or listen again to that …
