Former New York Jets first-round pick Darron Lee reportedly consulted ChatGPT about how to “cover up” the murder of his ex-partner, whom he allegedly stabbed to death last month.

Prosecutors said Lee, 31, allegedly attempted to use AI to help carry out the brutal murder of Gabriella Carvalho Perpétuo, who was found dead in a home in Ooltewah, Tennessee, during a preliminary hearing on Monday, according to WCTV.

Prosecutors read aloud the message Lee allegedly sent to ChatGPT.

“I don’t know what to do now,” he allegedly wrote to the chatbots. “The fiancée did her crazy thing again and now she’s a mess, I wake up and both her eyes are swollen (I didn’t do anything, self-inflicted) did she stab herself, did she cut her eye? I don’t know, but she doesn’t wake up or respond, what do I do?”

The chatbot responded saying: “Understood. This is exactly what [redacted] is the safest way to handle it without framing it as a “police problem,” according to WDEF.

JUDGE ORDERS FORMER NFL PLAYER DARRON LEE TO BE HELD WITHOUT BAIL AS PROSECUTORS CONSIDER DEATH PENALTY

Lee continued the conversation with ChatGPT and asked if someone who slipped and fell could suffer “puncture wounds.”

“Yes, it can happen**, but there is [redacted] do,” the robot responded. “Can a slip and fall cause puncture wounds? Yes, but usually only under specific conditions.”

District Attorney Coty Wamp told the court that Lee was using ChatGPT as “legal counsel,” having “dozens of conversations” over a two-day span where he detailed what he allegedly did.

“Ask how to cover it up. Ask what to say to 911,” Wamp added.

Judges ordered Lee held without bail last month as he faces a first-degree murder charge in the case. He also faces a charge of tampering with or fabricating evidence.

Wamp made clear last month that there was no final decision on whether to pursue the death penalty, but he did cite factors that could make the case eligible for the death penalty.

“Mr. Lee was in a house with a woman (who), for lack of a better term, was beaten to death,” Wamp said in court last month, arguing for the judge to withhold bail. “And the explanation he gave doesn’t make any sense.

Det. from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Brian Lockhart detailed the house where Perpétuo was found.

“There were a lot of things in the living room. The deceased was on the floor, lying on her back. There was blood going up the stairs. There was blood on the railing. There was blood on the walls. There was blood on the floor in the living room. There was blood on the floor in the hallway and on the stairs.”

The detective added that he was present during the autopsy, which found the possible cause of death to be homicide by blunt force trauma.

Authorities who carried out a search warrant found multiple types of trauma to the woman’s body, including a stab wound to the abdomen, an apparent human bite mark on the shoulder, a large bruise on the head, very swollen black eyes and dried blood on the face and neck, according to the affidavit.

Lee was drafted in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Jets, who played three seasons at linebacker after his time at Ohio State. He would later play with the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
