“We’re toasting what an amazing season this year was. The regular season and the playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl. And we’re also toasting the Super Bowl game,” said Rob Gronkowski, a FanDuel partner and former New England Patriots tight end. “So if you’re going to bet on the game, make sure you do it responsibly and play with a plan. And do it on FanDuel.”

“There is a lot to be fascinated with on the FanDuel app. However, those who don’t prepare, prepare to fail. You have to go in, you have to build a plan, you have to play with a plan and you have to play within your plan,” added former offensive lineman Taylor Lewan. “That means gambling responsibly, which is what the kids do. Because we’re in the lab all week, cooking up different things. But when Sunday comes, the hay is in the barn, our plan is in motion, and that’s when you take control.”

Will Compton, Lewan’s former teammate and current partner on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast, joked that those in his position don’t have enough prop betting options.

“There can’t be anything. It’s just like, what do you do?” -Compton asked. “Hey, so-and-so is going to give up a sack? But within that, what’s the skill? And then, yeah, then a blitz comes or a game takes place. There’s a lot at stake for the gray area.”

Gronkowski’s retirement came just as sports betting began to skyrocket, so he took the brunt of some fans.

“I got to the end of that era. I remember sometimes, if I hadn’t done so well, I’d see someone say, ‘What the hell? If you’d had that catch, I would’ve made 20 bucks more and stuff, man.’ You know, you feel for him. You feel for him,” Gronk joked.

But he’s returning the favor.

“Now, especially because I’m a fan, and now I bet on games. Throwing $50 to a prop player there, throwing five dollars to the quarterback to have a, you know, 400-plus yard game so you can turn that $5 into like 40 dollars because you have such a big game. It just brings that level of excitement and you get pumped up. You’re sitting on the couch and you’re yelling at the TV, you’re yelling at the player, and that’s what it’s all about, but make sure you always play with a plan.”
