Now, former Prince Andrew’s former maid has revealed what it was really like to work for him in a previous interview.
talking to the sunThe maid described the “disgraced” royal’s unusual habit of keeping 72 stuffed toys neatly arranged on his bed.
Charlotte Briggs, who worked at Buckingham Palace in the mid-1990s, said staff received a full day of training on how to arrange the toys exactly how the former Duke of York liked it.
“As soon as I got the job, they talked to me about teddy bears and instilled in me how I loved them,” she revealed of King Charles’ brother.
He explained that each bear had to be placed in a precise order by size and location, leaving nothing out of place.
“I even had a day of training. Everything had to go well. It was very peculiar,” he added. “But he loved the stuffed animals and was very clear about how he wanted them to be arranged.”
Recently, the former Duke of York received the biggest shock of his life after King Charles stripped him of his royal titles, including Prince, and ordered him to leave his royal residence, the Royal Lodge.
