The veteran politician and former governor of Punjab Mian Muhammad Azhar died on Tuesday, the PTI confirmed in an official statement.
Azhar, a senior political figure with a decades career in the public service, was currently a member backed by PTI of the National Assembly. The party announced its disappearance in X, extending the condolences to his son, the leader of PTI, Hammad Azhar.
Following their death, taxes were launched from political circles. The Minister of Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, described Azhar as “a noble person” and said his “services will be remembered for a long time.”
