There was a time when the NFL avoided Christmas games, and now they can’t get enough of them, scheduling two this year even though the day falls on a Wednesday.
That’s causing some oddities on the NFL schedule, with the Steelers being one of four teams that played last Saturday and will now play Wednesday. What happened to “any given Sunday”?

Anyway, the rest is equivalent to teams playing on Thursday after a Sunday game, but with Saturday’s game, it all comes down to three games in 11 days for the Steelers, and former quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is not happy about that. .
