- Two Hatsune Miku Fortnite skins leaked ahead of their official reveals
- They are said to be available tomorrow
- One is part of the game’s Festival Pass, while the other is in the Item Shop.
Hatsune Miku, virtual pop star and Vocaloid synth software icon, is reportedly coming to fortnite tomorrow in the form of two new aspects. Both were leaked early via social media, but they seem a little strange to me.
Images supposedly showing the next Hatsune Miku x fortnite The collaboration has been circulating on social media this morning. They suggest that two skins of the character will be added to the game tomorrow: Classic Miku and Neko Miku.
Classic Miku will apparently be available through the Item Shop and appears to depict Miku in her classic baby blue outfit. In addition to being able to purchase the skin on its own, leaks indicate that it will be bundled with a cute Miku-themed Back Bling backpack and a free trail.
Neko Miku’s skin will then be part of the Fortnite Festival Music Pass, a premium battle pass focused on the new spin-off rhythm game mode. If you’re interested in getting your hands on it, leaks indicate that the season will end on April 8.
On top of all this, it looks like at least three new instruments and a Jam Track for the song. Love shot with magic cure! Will also be added.
What did they do to him?
While I’m always down for some Hatsune Miku rep, I can’t pretend I’m not a little disappointed with the look of these skins so far. As expected, they use cell shading. fortnite Anime art style that we’ve already seen used for many other skins, but something about them seems a little off.
He has a strange, almost blank look in his eyes, and his eyes not only seem too small but they also seem too far apart to me. Overall, while they definitely don’t look like the worst skins ever, I think they could easily be made a little cuter with some subtle tweaks.
I consider a design more based on its appearance in the game. Hatsune Miku: DIVA Mega Mix Projectwhich features a similar style of cell shading, would have been a much better choice and a more accurate representation of his overall appearance.
I also very much hope that Love shot with magic cure! isn’t the only Jam Track on the cards. There are countless more iconic Miku songs, such as The world is mine either Romeo and Cinderellathat I would rather play.
That being said, I can’t pretend that I won’t still buy this skin pack and the Festival Pass instantly if they actually drop based on the current leaks. Fingers crossed, everything looks better in the game than in these leaked photos.
