The security forces have killed four terrorists belonging to “Fitna-Al Khawarij” during an intelligence-based operation in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Swat district, public relations between services (ISPR) said on Friday.

ISPR’s statement said the operation was carried out on April 18 based on credible intelligence that indicated the presence of Khwarij in the area.

The security forces successfully attacked the hiding place of the Khwarijs, which resulted in the death of four people identified as members of a forbidden terrorist group. Weapons and explosives were also recovered from the site.

The ISPR said that the murdered terrorists were involved in multiple acts of sabotage in the region.

A clearing and disinfection operation is ongoing in the area to eliminate the remaining threats.

The military reaffirmed their commitment to eradicate the threat of terrorism and maintain peace in the country.

Previously, security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence -based operation (IBO) in the Maddi area of ​​the District of Ismail Khan, the INSPRPR said Thursday.

The operation, launched on April 16, followed the confirmed intelligence on the presence of militants in the region.

There was a fierce fire exchange, which resulted in the death of the four terrorists, who, according to the reports, were linked to multiple attacks in the area.

Weapons and ammunition recovered from the site, according to the ISPR.
