DG Khan:
The Punjab police held an important operation against illegal TTP agents in DG Khan on Sunday and killed four alleged terrorists.
According to a statement, the police received intelligence on the movement of terrorists at Daulat Wala Mor, located in Kot Mubarak, a border area between Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. According to reports, terrorists were establishing illegal control points in the area.
Later, the Punjab police and their elite force teams moved quickly, while the border military police commander, Asad Khan Chandia, sealed entry routes into the tribal area.
Later, the police surrounded the terrorists and launched an operation, during which an intense fire exchange took place. TTP agents, strongly armed, attacked police teams, but Punjab police replied “with timely and effective action, frustrating their disastrous plans.”
In the operation, four TTP men were killed, while several others were injured.
According to the Punjab police spokesman, the remaining terrorists used the cover of darkness, shrubs and dunes to flee the scene. Police recovered weapons and explosives of the possession of deceased terrorists. A search and sweep operation is ongoing in the area after the meeting.
