The Jaffar Express had left for Peshawar at 9.00 am and passed through the Spezand train station when the FDE hit. A relief train was sent to the station to transport stranded passengers.

Security forces and police cordoned off the area. The pump removal equipment is cleaning the site, after which passengers will be transferred to Quetta train station through the relief train.

This is not the first time that Jaffar Express has been attacked. A similar attack in November 2024, the lives of 25 people were claimed and left another 50 wounds.

More recently, Jaffar Express escaped by little of an attack on the road to Quetta last week when a pump planted near the road at the Sibi train station shot just after the passenger train passed.

The public relations authorities confirmed the explosion to the media and declared that the explosion occurred near the external signal of the track that links Baluchistan with the rest of the country.
