
Fran Drescher has revealed that she once asked television executives not to withdraw Happily divorced.
The 68-year-old actress and writer, who was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 30, spoke with PEOPLE magazine and spoke about his journey in the world of entertainment.
Drescher told the outlet that she played different characters in her career and they all catapulted her to fame, but Fran Lovett’s role in Happily divorced was the one he wanted to represent for a longer period.

He blamed the “bad business model” for the program’s slow start, adding: “I pointed it out to them, but they wouldn’t listen to it. But in the end, I was proven right.”
Drescher recalled: “Two years later, I ran into one of the executives and he said, ‘If it’s any consolation, it’s like TV Land’s big regret. It shouldn’t have been cancelled. It shouldn’t have disappeared. It was so good.'”

“If you have limited money, you can’t pay for a series in the hope that you can distribute it or pre-sell it before you start running out of money,” he joked.
