Free Snowboard Streams at the 2026 Winter Olympics: TV Channels, Medal Events

When snowboarding debuted at the Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, in 1998, it consisted of just four events: men’s and women’s halfpipe and giant slalom. Since then, the sport’s popularity has grown substantially to the point that the snowboarding program at Milano Cortina 2026 will consist of 11 events across five disciplines.

For those hoping to witness big jumps and complicated tricks, the Big Air, Slopestyle and Halfpipe events are not to be missed. In these, athletes compete in a best-of-three competition, performing their best moves to earn the highest score from the judges. Athletes to watch include Austria’s Anna Gasser, Japan’s Hirano Ayumu and Australia’s Scotty James.
