French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau agreed to a series of measures to harden the safety of cryptographic professionals at a Friday meeting after a series of kidnappings that have directed industry figures in the country.
The measures that include the strengthening of collaboration with internal security officers to protect professionals, security information provided by police units and training to avoid cryptographic money laundering at the meeting. The general director of the National Police and Gendarmerie and representatives of the Association for the Development of Digital Assets (ADAN) participated together with other interested parties of the industry.
The meeting was held after the failed attempted kidnapping on Tuesday against the daughter and grandson of a CEO of Crypto Exchange, the third who received a generalized coverage since the beginning of the year. In May, the father of a French millionaire crypto was kidnapped, the BBC reported. And at the beginning of the year, David Ballard, co -founder of the Ledger cryptographic developer, was kidnapped with his wife. Both men had a cut finger.
“I wanted to reiterate my commotion for the seriousness of the criminal acts that were committed and my determination to put an end to these unbearable attacks aimed at professionals from cryptographic assets, just as they attacked the banks and jewelry stores yesterday,” Retailleau said.
