A French citizen who arrived in Pakistan from India was caught with a large quantity of drugs.
According to a spokesperson for the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), nationwide operations against drug trafficking are underway. As part of this effort, ANF carried out an operation at Islamabad International Airport, recovering a significant amount of drugs from the suspect.
The suspect had traveled from India to Islamabad and was heading to Sri Lanka via Muscat. Upon inspection, 1.58 kilograms of hashish were discovered in the suspect’s luggage.
The individual, who had entered Pakistan on a visit visa, was attempting to smuggle the drugs by hiding them in chocolate packaging.
Authorities registered a case against the suspect under the Anti-Narcotics Act and launched an investigation.
A month ago, ANF foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of cocaine into Pakistan at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.
A Brazilian woman, arriving on a flight from Brazil, was arrested for trying to smuggle 1,396 kilograms of cocaine hidden in her underwear.
According to ANF officials, the woman was searched after appearing suspicious during passenger clearance.
During the search, authorities discovered cocaine hidden in a plastic bag inside his underwear.
Previously, a young man addicted to “ice” brutally killed his father, his brother and his niece with a dagger.
The suspect also seriously injured his sister-in-law and two young nieces, who were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
Hospital sources reported that the condition of two injured people remains critical, while the family is overwhelmed by shock and pain.
Police identified the arrested suspect as Faizan, a drug addict recently released from jail. Authorities revealed that he had previously injured one of his brothers in a shooting.
