- Avengers: Judgment Day apparently will include more MCU heroes than expected
- Leaked images indicate that two unannounced stars are part of their ensemble.
- If true, Doomsday cast will increase to 29
a fresh Avengers: Judgment Day The leak appears to have confirmed that two more Marvel heroes will appear in the long-awaited comic book movie.
Promotional images for the Marvel Phase 6 movie, which appear to have been taken for the cover of a glossy magazine, were released yesterday (November 18) after they were leaked online by an unknown source. Taking into account that two of the photographs show characters who were not part of Avengers: Judgment DayFollowing the initial reveal of the 27-member cast back in March, the stills all but confirm that these individuals will have a role to play in the penultimate Multiverse Saga film.
Potentially huge spoilers immediately follow for Avengers: Judgment Day. Don’t continue if you don’t want to know what other actors the movie might feature!
The images, which have been shared on
As I mentioned earlier, none of the actors were announced as part of DoomsdayThe original list from earlier this year. Larson and Cumberbatch’s Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) characters also won’t have solo movies releasing in 2026. The fact that they were professionally photographed for what appears to be a multi-page feature article strongly implies that they will appear in the next Avengers movie.
What makes this leak even more fascinating is that Larson and Cumberbatch declined to comment and/or initially denied their involvement in Doomsday.
In January, Cumberbatch revealed that he would not be in Doomsday. And, although he backtracked on that response a few days later (according to Business Insider) to say that was As part of his ensemble, some fans believed Cumberbatch was toying with them about his possible appearance.
Meanwhile, on an October 2025 edition of The View, Larson responded to a question about her possible involvement in Avengers 5saying, “Thank you for asking and you know I can’t answer.”
However, two weeks later, Larson made waves when, while voting in the 2025 New York mayoral election, she told her fans on Instagram to “ignore the wig!” (thanks ar/MarvelStudios for the screenshot). According to some, Larson’s hairpiece has be the one he looks like when he plays Captain Marvel, otherwise there would be no reason to cover his head.
Yes (and, without confirmation from Disney and/or Marvel, it’s still a yes) the duo is in Doomsdayraises a big question about the film. That being said, how the hell Avengers 5 Juggling its now 29-person cast and making sure each individual gets enough screen time?
That’s before you consider the possibility that one of the most exciting new movies of 2026 will also feature 31 characters. Featuring a former Spider-Man and a major villain also rumored to appear in Avengers: Judgment DayIt’s increasingly likely that the Marvel team-up’s next movie will be packed with characters, and ultimately I hope it won’t be to the film’s detriment.
Avengers: Judgment Day will hit theaters on December 18, 2026. For more information on the upcoming film, check out everything we know so far about Avengers: Judgment Day.
