- More information from Pixel Watch 4 has leaked
- We can see new sensors and load contacts
- The laptop should be launched on August 20
The Pixel Watch 4 is almost certain that it will be presented together with the Pixel 10 series and the Pixel Buds 2A on Wednesday, August 20, although Google has only confirmed the date, not what is being launched, and a new leak gives us more information about the laptop.
The images published in Reddit (through 9to5google) show what seem to be official marketing slides for the Pixel Watch 4, which details characteristics such as improved durability, battery duration and precision of activities monitoring, courtesy of a “Gen 3 Sensors Center 3”.
That would be an update of the sensors that we saw with the Google Pixel Watch 3, and it should mean better precision in readings such as heart rate, although we will not know with certainty until we have the opportunity to try it.
We also have another look at the fairly unusual lateral load system that appeared in a previous leak, with load contacts placed on the side of the clock housing: it seems that this is how the Pixel 4 clock can load 4.
‘Technological advances’
There are many positive phrases in these marketing materials, as expected. Apparently, the clock brings “significant technological advances” about its predecessor, along with a “premium artisanal design.”
The battery life is listed as reaching 30 hours between the positions, which is said to be a 25% impulse on the current model. A better battery life in previous leaks had already been mentioned, so we have the hope of that particular department.
The two expected watch sizes, 41 mm and 42 mm are also mentioned, while Gemini’s integration is mentioned, as well as the “double frequency” GPS, which suggests that the laptop will be more precise and faster when informing its location.
Together with the rest of the leaked information that also emerged in recent days, it seems that Pixel Watch 4 could be an attractive perspective, when it is finally confirmed, and perhaps it is worth a place in our list of better smart watches.
