The security forces fought against a terrorist attack against their position in the district of Qila Abdullah in Baluchistan at night between January 27 and 28, killing five attackers, including two suicide terrorists, the Army said Tuesday, and added that two military were also martyred.
“Khwarij tried to attack the security forces in the Gulistan area of Qila Abdullah,” said the army media wing, the ISPR said. “The attempt to enter the post was effectively frustrated by own troops, which forced the Khwarij to numb a vehicle loaded with explosives on the perimeter wall of the post,” he added.
The army uses the term “Khwarij” for the terrorists of the illegal umbrella of violent groups who have found safe shelters in Afghanistan after their defeat since the old tribal belt in the 2014 military operation in Zarb-E-A-Azb coding.

In other places, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the general area of Jani Khel in the Bannu district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Monday about Khwarij’s reported presence, the army said in a separate statement.

The terrorist attacks occurred days after the security forces eliminated at least 30 terrorists in three separate military commitments in KP. “On January 24-25, 2025, 30 Khwarij were killed in three separate commitments in the province of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa,” the ISPR said in a statement on Saturday night. Military commitments took place in the districts of Lakki Marwat, Karak and Khyber.
President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for killing eight khwarij in the districts of Qila Abdullah and Bannu and paid tributes to Naik Tahir Khan and Lance Naik Tahir Iqbal, who embraced martyrdom during the operation .
