Rawalpindi:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s principal minister (KP), Ali Amin Gandapur, said the concentration of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) on September 27 in Peshawar will determine where the nation is, urging party workers to appear in force.
Speaking outside the Adiala prison on Monday after it was not allowed to meet the founder of PTI Imran Khan, Gandapur said that Peshawar’s meeting will be a decisive moment for the country, and added: “Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is PTI’s heart, everyone must leave.”
KP’s CM declared that the founder of PTI and his wife face false cases, saying that everyone is manufactured. He stressed that he tried to meet Imran Khan in Adial’s prison, but he was denied permission. “What is the reason behind locking meetings? Preventing these visits is just creating cracks within the party,” he said.
Referring to the demonstration in Peshawar, he said that it is now crucial for the future of the party. “If we want real freedom, we have to stay together: this is still the message of the founder of PTI. We cannot afford internal struggles or tear down,” he emphasized. “Without strength, neither negotiations occur nor gain wars.”
He warned that more restrictions on communication with party leadership could worsen tensions. “After today’s press talk, maybe I am not allowed to meet him [Imran Khan] Again, “he said.” But we must resist. If there is no constitution or law, then resistance is our only option. “
Asking the unit before the demonstration, Gandapur added: “They arrive two days before if necessary, we will receive it. But everyone must be in Peshawar on 27”.
Meanwhile, Imran’s sister, Aleema Khan, accused the authorities of deliberately delaying the procedures in the Toshakhana 2.0 case presenting “false witnesses” in the court.
Speaking to the media outside the Adina prison after an audience, he said that the charges against the founder of PTI were politically motivated and legally defective. “They are wasting time by bringing false witnesses in Toshakhana 2.0, and the punishment for false testimony is seven years in prison,” he said.
He also claimed that only a few media representatives are allowed within the courtroom, and even they are not allowed to inform freely, adding that the founder of PTI is denied basic rights, including communication with their children.
In the broader political and security situation, he emphasized the need for a dialogue of multiple interested parties to address the growing militancy in KP.
“You can’t end terrorism by expelling Pakistan’s Afghans. They were forcibly expelled. To bring peace to KP, the Afghan government, local tribes and our own government must sit together,” he said, and added that the armed forces, police and civilians of Pakistan continue to pay the price for unshakable.
Calling the party’s unit, Aleema urged all the MNA and MPA of KP to be with CM Gandapur and expressed support for constitutional resistance.
