Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s prime minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, has challenged the State, stating that if he can legally demolish his government by constitutional means, he will leave the policy if they succeed.

“Do not do anything unconstitutional, and even through constitutional means, you cannot do anything. Our government, our power and everything belongs to Imran Khan. It can instruct us to overthrow the government when you want. Our government cannot be overthrown through constitutional methods.” said.

After a meeting of the Parliamentary Party of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Gandapur held a joint press conference with PTI BarrĂster Gohar, Salman Akram Raja and other leaders on Wednesday.

He described the State, often seen as a “mother”, as behaving tyrannically. “Challenge to the State and all its institutions. He tried conspiracies and failed. He used unconstitutional means and still could not succeed,” he said.

Gandapur criticized the actions of the State, saying: “You failed in your conspiracies and unconstitutional measures. The martial law and the governor’s rule imposed in the past. Now, I challenge your power and authority. Put our people in jail, use all their forces and try to overcome the KP government.”

The CM added that they cannot eliminate their government through legal and constitutional means because they cannot break their members. “No one has the power to break those who are standing with Imran Khan.”

In addition, he said: “Today’s meeting sends a message to those who think we are divided. We are completely committed, the body and soul, to ensure the release of PTI’s founder. I was arrested before May 9. They claim that we committed excesses on May 9, but the conspiracy against the founder of PTI began before that.”

Gandapur said that the 26th constitutional amendment is an attack against the Judiciary, and that PTI will work to reverse it when they return to power.

Regarding a meeting with the former prisoner prime minister, he said: “Imran Khan requested a meeting, and it is our right to meet him, since he is the head of the party. However, I feel that this meeting may not be organized.”

In response to a question, he said that Imran Khan has never refused to negotiate. “We want to talk to those who really have power. At this time, the country is running with canes, and everyone knows the real value of the PML-N and the PPP.”

Regarding the future actions of PTI, Gandapur announced that the party plans to launch a political movement nationwide after Muharram and intensify its efforts. He warned: “If bullets shoot us against us, the answer will be the same, the answer will be similar.”
