Peshawar:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s main minister (KP), Ali Amin Gandapur, has lashed out at the detractors within the Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), accusing them of spreading “shameless” criticism about the distribution of elections of the elections and the warning of the Senate that the party is sliding in chaos.
Speaking at a meeting in Peshawar, Gandapur said he had no role in the award of Senate tickets, but was unjustly attacked. “A drama was organized during the Senate elections, and I was criticized, while we only followed [PTI founder Imran] Khan’s instructions because this party belongs to him, “he said.
He claimed that certain people were deliberately blocking their meetings with Khan to weaken their influence. “Blocking my meeting with Khan is damaging the party and creating divisions, although Khan wants unity,” he said, added that those who obstruct contact with Khan were not “friends but enemies” of the party.
Referring to the Senate ticket controversy, Gandapur said that when Khan’s list of candidates was released, many ruled out as false. “Later, when Imran Khan himself confirmed the names, none of the critics apologized.” No person said: ‘I was wrong.’ That is shameless: remain silent and refuse to admit guilt, “he said.
