The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Advisor Minister on Information and Public Relations, BarrĂster Dr. Saif, said that Prime Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur held an important meeting with the founder of PTI Imran Khan in the Adiala jail on Monday.
The meeting lasted more than two hours, during which detailed discussions were maintained on law and order, security and other key issues over the province. Imran Khan expressed full confidence in Prime Minister Gandapur, who reported it on the initiatives of the provincial government to maintain peace and security.
According to SAIF, the prime minister also informed Imran Khan about the plans to summon tribal Jirgas for peace efforts. The two leaders discussed the issue of conversations with Afghanistan, with Imran Khan instructing the prime minister to guarantee coordination and dialogue with Kabul.
Imran Khan also received detailed information about the economic situation and budget of the province. The prime minister described the steps that were being taken to strengthen the economy, what Khan appreciated. Saif added that for a more detailed financial session, Khan has summoned the Finance Muzzammil Aslam advisor. In addition, he pointed out that legal actions will be held with respect to the restrictions imposed on Aslam meetings with Khan.
The performance of several ministers and departments was also reviewed. Imran Khan authorized the prime minister to take the necessary measures in this regard. He also emphasized the supremacy of the law and ordered Gandapur to accelerate efforts under the “haqiqi azadi” movement (true freedom).
Party issues were another focal point of the meeting. Imran Khan issued strict instructions against elements that create cracks or undermined the internal unit, making it clear that there is no place in the party for those who try to sow the division.
Saif said that the prime minister will once again approach the Supreme Court tomorrow to challenge the restrictions at meetings with Imran Khan.
