- Garmin begins his beta update cycle for the Garmin Instinct 3
- Between 30 updates there are eight new features
- These characteristics include rucking, passcodes and Garmin Connect+
Garmin is beginning to implement updates for the new Garmin Instinct 3. The updates, currently in Beta, include 22 minor changes, corrections, updates and eight new features, including support for the new Garmin Connect+ Premium service.
The new characteristics of the Garmin Instinct 3, are currently only available for members of the Beta Public Beta de Garmin program as Beta version 9.07, will be extended to all watches once the test is completed. Although there are 30 updates in total, the eight new significant features are listed below:
- Garmin Connect+ Support
- Rucking training profile
- Package weight option added to the rucking profile
- Password support
- Breathing variations
- Suggested training daily were added to the application of solar/instinct and instinct and
- Morning Report Animations
- Additional locations in the weather widget
The rest of the changes are corrected to several errors and avoid possible blockages. Of the eight previous significant changes, Passcode is large, which allows you to block your clock for greater security, and Rucking is an excellent training profile for those who seek to make their walks more challenging when adding a weighted backpack. The weight of the package is a good touch, which allows it to granularly track your weight improvements in addition to the distance.
We previously reported on Garmin adding Rucking, and we were surprised a bit that has not been part of the instinct 3 in the launch, since this thick clock is made to measure for difficult paths. However, it has not simply been ready, or the weight of the package’s weight may have created additional complications when designing the training profile.
However, it is likely that the support for Garmin Connect+, the new Garmin Premium subscription service, has a somewhat mixed reception, to say the least, while the other features are expected to be welcome changes for the owners of Instinct 3. If the premium level launch, you will know that Garmin Connect+ was received with a violent reaction, as we report after spending two days in the comments and emails of readers.
The main concerns of the users are with the relatively basic and useless advisor service, active intelligence and the risk of new future characteristics that are placed behind the GC+payment wall. Users feel strongly about having to bifurcar for additional monthly charges to make the most of Garmin, even after buying an expensive watch.
However, fortunately, it has not been mentioned that any of the new features listed above are blocked behind Garmin Connect+, which is great news for ruckers and those interested in protecting their watches with an access code.
