It is fair to say that last week was tumultuous for Garmin’s owners, to say at least. Throughout the world, Garmin Watches, from those on our list of the best Garmin watches to entrance level watches such as Garmin Forerunner 55, suddenly began to get stuck in starting mode. Even some other Garmin devices, such as cycling computers, were affected.
We spent most of the last week informing about the interruption of Garmin, and its emails were flooded. Have at least 500 emails of the besieged users of Garmin, helping us expand our lists of affected devices and provide useful reports of what solutions were working. He also shared stories about his devices that affect career clubs during the week and snowboard honey. You took a step forward.
A week later, the dust has settled and people’s devices returned to normal. However, we have not had news from Garmin about what really caused the interruption. Now that we have had a bit of the incident space, I wanted to ask you another question, our readers, in the comments below, this article, Will you trust Garmin again?
Some of their emails mentioned change to a better rival watch brand, such as Suunto, Choos, Apple and Samsung. Are you still planning to change and, if so, who? Or do you think this is an isolated incident and wants to keep Garmin in the meantime?
For me, a regular user of Garmin, my instinct (forgiveness for the word game) initially stayed with Garmin. From the battery life to the design, a Garmin clock has been my faithful companion in almost all the long distance races that I have run.
However, when I think about the possibility that such interruption happens again and imagine what happens on the eve of, say, the London marathon, I can imagine the thousands of disappointed and panic corridors who wanted to have changed brands. If it happened in the middle of a long cycle or a walk, you may not have navigation tools, but the physical things that you brought with you and the compass application of your phone.
My way to follow will be to continue using my Garmin watches and maintain a Pace Pro choirs, or another of the best cheap race watches in case of failure. However, I am in a very privileged position: if I want to try a device, I take it from the PakGazette vaults. In addition, these devices work at their best when each of them their main laptops, accessing their data to inform you more about your performance.
If you are a Garmin user, what will you do?
- Stay with the brand
- Take a cheap back watch
- Completely change loyalty (and if so, what brand will it change)?
- If I planned to get a Garmin and have not done so, has this interruption drama discouraged you?
Let us know in the comments below! I will be there, responding to your publications, and we will even present your thoughts in a future article.
