Garmin has announced today that its ECG application is now available for customers in Switzerland and the United Kingdom, which takes the total list of territories compatible with more than 50.
The Garmin ECG application works with all the best Garmin watches, including Fenix 8 and beyond, and allows users to record their heart rate and verify the signs of atrial fibrillation.
The application shows immediate results in your wrist and allows you to synchronize your readings with Garmin Connect, seeing them in the application of the smartphone at a later date. The latter also admits compiling an ECG results history that can be shared with your medical care provider.
The Garmin ECG is driven by the sensors in the back of its smart watches, which record electrical signals to measure the heart rate rhythm, and the company says it is the first characteristic of Garmin Smartwatch that is classified as a medical device in any country.
