The twice gold medalist of the Olympic Biatlon of Germany, Laura Dahlmeier, was confirmed dead 31 years on Wednesday after being beaten by the fall of rocks in a Pakistani mountain.
The dangerous nature of the site caused the “impossible” rescue efforts, said its agency in a statement issued on Wednesday, which confirmed his death.
“The rescue efforts to recover its bankrupt and the operation was suspended,” the statement continued.
The accident occurred around noon on Monday at an altitude of 5,700 meters (18,700 feet) in Laila Peak in the Karakoram mountain range, according to a statement from its team in its official social media pages.
