Security sources said on Wednesday that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq has resumed after a temporary pause in deference to Eidul Fitr celebrations and requests from Islamic countries. “This pause ended at midnight between March 23 and 24,” they added.
Operation Ghazab Lil Haq was launched last month following fresh clashes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, after Afghan Taliban forces fired at multiple locations, prompting swift military retaliation by Pakistan.
Security sources said the operations were a continuous, precise and selective military campaign directed against the terrorist leaders, their support and command infrastructures, their logistical networks and all facilitators and instigators in the areas controlled by the Afghan Taliban regime.
The operation will continue until its objectives are fully achieved. “The Afghan Taliban regime must re-evaluate its priorities, shifting focus from supporting proxies of terrorism to the well-being of the Afghan and Pakistani people,” the sources added.
