ISLAMABAD:
Senate President Yousaf Raza Gilani on Sunday said tolerance and patience are essential qualities to build peace and stability in any society.
In his message on the occasion of the International Day of Tolerance, the president of the Senate maintained that without promoting tolerant attitudes, social harmony cannot be achieved.
He said meaningful dialogue and mutual respect are key pillars of democratic traditions, and that parliament is responsibly playing its role in promoting national unity, tolerance and social cohesion. Gilani noted that all sectors of society must unite against extremism.
