Gillian Anderson, “I couldn’t believe” the great opportunity for action

Gillian Anderson has just admitted that she entered “doubts” after she was Eleanor Roosevelt in a television program.

She played the role of iconic personality and the political figure deceased in the United States in The first ladyA dramatic series launched in 2022.

In a conversation with Marie Claire, Anderson explained why he felt aware when Eleanor, who was married to former United States president Franklin D. Roosevelt, didn’t look like her at all.

“I was very surprised when they asked me to play Eleanor Roosevelt,” Gillian admitted.

The 56 -year -old woman continued: “She was such an extraordinary woman, and you know, I have five feet three, and she had five feet nine or ten (laughs). It was very high, and we don’t look at all.”

The crown Star then discussed her problems with “doubt” while she prepared for the role, admitting: “There was the challenge of it.”

“First of all, I could not believe that I could do it. I really had to prevent my doubts from getting in the way. And yet the opportunity to play someone like her and live in their shoes for a period of time, it was extraordinary,” he added.

Gillian Anderson also revealed that the reason he assumed the role of portraying Eleanor Roosevelt, despite his struggles, was because he wanted to “study” the life of the former first lady.

“That is part of achieving the ultimate goal … you have to convince yourself that you can do things that you may not be able to do,” he told the publication, before concluding saying, “and in doing so, or acting as you can do, suddenly you can, and you are no longer afraid.”
